Bring History to Life with Full Tilt School Shows.

 

Full Tilt will give an educational talk on history, arms and armour from Ancient Greeks to 15th Century Jousting Knights. Our Main Focus is Knights in Tournament, however, we can also develop a program to fit in with your current curriculum.

​

​The students will get to see historical reproductions of armour and equipment used by Knights and be shown how it changes through time and why.

Rod will talk about Armour and Heraldry and show a slideshow depicting images from Manuscripts, along with some photos and video footage of events.

 

Pieces of equipment will be handed out for children to try on and feel the weight.

Rod and Michelle Walker have been a welcome addition to our Year 8 Medieval Day. They enthusiastically present our students with a hands-on experience, which enhances their understanding of Medieval History. They provide our students with real knowledge and a tactile experience with helmets, shields, swords and dress, representative of the medieval period. They have been engaging our students for four years and will continue to be a valued part of our
curriculum. The ‘push horses’ are a huge hit with all students who eagerly participate in all they have to offer. They are true ‘experts’ in this field.

We have had Full Tilt visit our school for the past 3 years and every year their program has been exceptional! Their wide range of weaponry, armour, and digital resources provide students with an awesome hands on experience that the students love and learn so much from. The students getting to have a go at Jousting is definitely one of the biggest hits of the day! Its always so much fun for the students to get to see how skilled they are at hitting the quintain with a
lance. The Teachers always love having a go too! Overall, Full Tilt provide an amazingly fun and educational experience that all students enjoy. I would definitely recommend booking them for your school!
