What to expect from a Full Tilt display.
The Joust.

Full Tilt will provide a captivating display of 14th, 15th & or 16th century skill at arms and jousting.

With period clothing, equipment and of course, full mail or full plate harnesses, you can be assured of a dazzling display of knightly skills.

We begin our first display with the skills of the squire.
Tilting at the quintain was an important part of a young squires training and we knights like to continue to use the quintain as a warm up.
We follow this with picking up small metal rings at the gallop using spears and swords.
We then thrust our swords through a thrusting target and throw spears at a spear throwing target.
A ladies glove is plucked from the ground at speed using a lance.

Our second display of the day is that of the full joust.
One of our knights may be armed in front of the crowd so that they may see how a real armour is put on.
Our knights are armoured in full 14th, 15th or 16th century  harnesses with re-enforces for the joust.
Our entertaining Herald will keep the crowd informed of what is exactly going on.
The crowd is encouraged to cheer for their knight and his mount. The louder they cheer the harder we work.
The object is to break our lances upon our opponents chest or head and if the crowd can cheer loudly enough we may even see an unhorsing.

Each display lasts approximately half an hour but we do usually run over. More knights means a longer display of course. Our displays can be ribald or slightly risqué but are always 100% family friendly.
After each display the knights will dismount and spend time posing for photos and chatting with the public.

If you would like to use us in pre-event publicity than we are always happy to oblige.

We are also more than happy to talk with you about what you would like to see in a Full Tilt display

Please EMAIL us for more a free promotional package detailing what we do and our costs. We also include a DVD highlighting our displays.
